C3 03/2015 Xentry key save not successfully problem:

After activate the MB STAR C3 diagnostic multiplexer XENTRY software, the Star Utilites may display an error message “StarUtils “Save not successfully-licCheckLicense XENTRY Diagnostics. 4 – StartKey can not be decoded or scheme is not recognized, or appID unknown.” Shown as picture below:

1) Re-generate MB Star C3 pro Xentry key or contact the dealer to generate the correct key.

2) Reset your computer time/date to a specific date that three months later than the C3 version (eg: if the star C3 software is 2014.05, then the computer date should be reset to 2014.08.2). Activate Benz diagnostic software again.

3) Go to Local Disk (: C) and delete “lic-key2″, then try to active again.

Deleting all key stored and make sure you have the correct Commonlic.dll file.

Download the CommonLic.dll file and replace the original in” C:WINDOWSZAKStarutils folder and then right click and “Tick” Read Only (DO NOT using any other StarUtils “Type” Folder such: Temporary Star Utils, Temp Star Utils, Daimler Star Utils, etc.

Delete any shortcut on the Desktop from those WRONG Folders and create 1 NEW from the CORRECT Folder.

Check in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataLicDir IF you have this file: lic_key_2.dat and delete it. If the file does not exit, then go again in: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataLicDir and right click in the lic_key_2.dat file and “Tick” Read Only.
